Rules
From WikiHIT
[edit]
The Clinical Data Definition template enables conditional processing and other rules to be documented.
An example of conditional processing can be seen in the Smoking Assessment. If the response to the first question Have You Ever Smoked is "No," there is no reason to ask the following questions that relate specifically to Smoking.
Including an "IF - THEN" statement in the Relationships section indicates that certain questions are conditioned on the response to another question.
[edit] Example Rule
In the example below, the response to the "Have you ever smoked?" question will determine whether any of the subsequent questions are relevant.
