A Physical Quantity specializes QTY and is essentially composed of a value and a unit of measure.

  • value is the numerical value of the measurement
  • unit is the units used.
  • translation provides the same value using another code/units system.


The unit of measure should conform to http://aurora.rg.iupui.edu/UCUM, although ISO+ is commonly used and shares essentially the same units.
